For the first time, the Buy BC team attended and hosted a booth at the fifth annual From the Ground Up Conference and Trade Show in Vancouver on May 17-18, 2023. Organized by Good to Grow, this trade show is the only 100% B.C. event that connects local brands to different market channels.

On May 14-15, 2023, the Buy BC team attended and hosted a booth at the Bakery Showcase Trade Show and Conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

In April, the Buy BC team attended Grocery & Specialty Food West 2023 in Vancouver. This event brought together over 3,000 specialty grocers, independents, major chains, and warehouse operators from B.C. and across Canada.

The third Every Chef Needs a Farmer, Every Farmer Needs a Chef event welcomed back farmers, chefs and food service professionals after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Buy BC: EAT DRINK LOCAL was a month-long annual campaign showcasing incredible restaurants across the province. In 2021, the campaign featured approximately 40 industry-leading restaurants and restaurateurs to inspire diners to seek out that unique B.C. dining experience.

The second annual Every Chef Needs a Farmer, Every Farmer Needs a Chef event welcomed about 500 farmers, chefs and food service professionals to the Pacific National Exhibition Forum in Vancouver.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food partnered with the B.C. Association of Agricultural Fairs and Exhibitions on a summer Buy BC promotional campaign with locally inspired exhibits.

A new Buy BC retail partnership with Safeway was celebrated through a local food festival on September 20, 2019, at the Robson St. Vancouver Safeway location.

From August 17 to September 2, 2019, PNE visitors had the opportunity to visit the Journey of B.C. Food Exhibit, a new permanent Buy BC installation celebrating B.C. agriculture and food.
