For the first time, the Buy BC team attended and hosted a booth at the fifth annual From the Ground Up Conference and Trade Show in Vancouver on May 17-18, 2023. Organized by Good to Grow, this trade show is the only 100% B.C. event that connects local brands to different market channels.  

Attendees included retailers, distributors, food services, institutions, chefs, media and other food industry professionals. There were interactive panel discussions, presentations, and speed-networking sessions including strategies to expand a growing B.C. food and beverage business.

The Buy BC booth included a retail aisle which featured a wide array of Buy BC products, including prepared foods, beverages, sauces, dressings, bread, baking, fish, seafood, plant proteins and natural health products. Each supplier’s products were accompanied by an information tag for retailers and distributors.

The key focus for the Buy BC team was to educate processors about the Buy BC Logo Licensing process and inform them of the newly launched Buy BC Partnership Program. As a result, multiple attendees and processors submitted their logo licensing application at the event itself!
