As part of a Buy BC partnership, over 100 White Spot and Triple O’s participating locations supported the Buy BC brand in a big way.

B.C.’s farmers’ markets were especially busy in 2019. The Ministry of Agriculture has partnered with the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets to help promote Buy BC at over 145 farmers’ markets across the province and encourage people to reach for local products.

Thrifty Foods, a long-time leader in sourcing and promoting B.C. products, is the first grocery chain to prominently feature the Buy BC brand in its stores across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

The B.C. Seafood Festival is the largest seafood event in western Canada and is held annually in the Comox Valley each June to support local businesses.

A Buy BC partnership with the 2019 British Columbia Northern Exhibition (BCNE) fair in Prince George delivered on a local cooking demonstration and competition featuring B.C. ingredients.

The Ministry of Agriculture promoted Buy BC at the “Grounded Food Symposium” workshop in April 2019 at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford.

The 2018 Every Chef Needs a Farmer, Every Farmer Needs a Chef event took place on November 13, 2018 at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver.
