Perpetual Vegetable Co. is owned and operated by the Randhawa family who have been growing greenhouse produce for over 30 years. They began in 1993 with a single greenhouse on one acre and have expanded gradually to 100 acres. Resource conservation and environmental impact
Through a closed loop system, Perpetual Vegetable Co., like other greenhouse growers, recirculates its irrigation water, allowing nutrients to be retained. CO₂ from natural gas boilers is redirected back into the crops, increasing production and eliminating environmental emissions. Rainwater is collected in a pond and incorporated into the irrigation system to conserve well water.
For pest control, Perpetual Vegetable Co. uses an integrated pest management approach that employs predatory insects to control pest populations that could damage crops.
